Safety Guidelines
At Elite M.A. Centers, the safety of our students, campers, team members, and their families is of utmost importance. We have been working diligently with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as our state and local health authorities to determine how to create the safest environment for anyone who enters our facilities. We will implement guidelines put in place for social distancing, sanitization, and best practices to continue to make the safety of our EMA Community the top priority.
Below are some highlighted of the changes that we're implementing to create a safe and positive environment for those in our studios.
Health Assessment
Prior to entering our schools, members will be asked to self-assess their health and the health of their children. If anyone is not feeling well, has a fever, shortness of breath or any COVID-19 like symptoms, or has recently been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, we ask that they cancel their appointment. Makeups, credits, and/or refunds will be provided as needed to ensure members who are not feeling well can stay home and rest up. Touchless temperature checks will also be required for camp and classroom participants.
Personal Protective
Equipment for Members
Face masks that cover the mouth and nose are required in all of our classes, and will be required for entry where recommended by state and local health authorities. Younger children will not be required to wear their face coverings at selective times during camp, after-school, or activities that allow social distancing practice.
Curbside Drop Off/Pick Up and Member Distancing
To limit the number of people inside our facilities, families accompanying students are asked to stay in their cars and drop off/pick up curbside. A member of our team will assist with this process, especially for our youngest members. When inside the facilities, campers will be kept in small groups, with social distancing markers in place.
No Shared Equipment
As much as possible, there will be no shared items at the school. Any shared items will be disinfected between use. Each student will be given their own cubby for their belonging.
Health Assessment
Following state and local direction, team members will be evaluated prior to each shift, and anyone who is not feeling well, has a fever, shortness of breath, or any COVID-19 like symptoms, or has recently been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 will not be permitted to work in the school. Touchless temperature checks will also be required for camp and classroom participants.
Personal Protective
Equipment for our Team
EMA Team Members will wear face coverings that cover their mouth and nose as recommended by state and local health authorities.
Team Distancing
All Team Members are required to maintain social distance from one another in our facilities. Instructors will maintain social distance from children where applicable, but will physically assist as needed to provide a safe experience for students/campers.
No Shared Equipment
There will be no shared office equipment, as much as possible: one person per phone, one person per hand radio. Anything that is shared will be disinfected between uses.
Social Distancing
Following state guidelines, we will be reducing the number of families in the facility at the current time. We will aim to reduce the amount of time you spend in the school, and ask that you maintain a safe distance from others while in our schools.
Increased Facility Cleaning & Sanitation Stations
Regular cleaning will be conducted by our staff members throughout the day using professional grade disinfectant, with increased attention to high traffic areas and commonly touched facility elements. Our centers will also continue to provide hand soaps and hand sanitizer, with increased availability in key areas of the facility. Floor mats are disinfected nightly.
Removal of Commonly Shared Amenities
We ask that all members bring their own water bottles as we close off the water fountains for the time being. We also will limit sharing of items, and will disinfect anything that is shared before the next person uses it.
Social Distancing
Children will strive to keep 3 to 6 feet distance through out the day. When 6 foot of distance is not possible to maintain, face covering will be worn.
Transportation
Seating will be assigned for the school year, with as much physical distance between non-family members as possible. When 6 foot of distance is not possible to maintain, face covering will be worn.
Getting Outdoors
As much as possible, we will aim to conduct games, sports and physical activities outside. Our team has identified areas around our studios where we can do this, as to be in a well-ventilated area for children to play and learn.
Minimizing Touch in Class/Games/Activities
We have redesigned games and activities to still be fun, but to minimize touch or sharing of supplies. Shared items will be cleaned and sanitized after each usage.
Dedicated Groups
Campers will be assigned small groups for the week. Each group will minimize interactions with other groups as much as possible.
